Letting go....

I could open with a joke here, you know what they say, you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans. :) Letting go of the anger and frustration in our lives can be one of the most difficult and challenging things we ever do. The first thing you've got to let go of is worrying about the things we can't control in our lives, the things we can't change.

So take a deep breath, look around and realize this is our reality. The anger and frustration is part of it, but ya gotta let go of that to. There is no reverse button on the things we do in our lives, if there was, I would go back so many times and do things different, but I can't.

Letting go isn't easy, because people around you and even yourself will try to confuse you and keep you down at times. But the really important things.... they become clearer in time. I mean it. Whatever things you think you need to make your life worth wild, they go away. Life gets a lot more basic and richer when you able to let go of those things keeping you down. The things keeping you away from your own happiness.

The small changes can be hard and the big changes can be very scary. I won’t tell you it isn't, but it's not as scary as you might think when it’s all over. It's like you start out as one person, someone who is trained to handle things a certain way, but when you learn to let go, a whole new person is formed, but until you go through these hard things and then allow yourself to let go, you never realize your full potential. You never realize how happy you can be or the person you can become.

So that's it, all of us were given special challenges in our lives, difficult things to overcome, and if we hold on to the frustrations and the anger, we will never see what we are meant to see once we overcome them. That is what I HAVE to keep believing, that these special challenges allow for something special to be born. Something that I may never had known about myself without these difficulties and learning how to let myself, let go.

What so many people fail to realize is that it truly is a choice. You decide to hold on or to let go. I hope that you decide to make the choice to let go of it and become a better person, someone who sees the reason for the challenge, not just the bad in it.
